Seigaiha Trainer

Seigaiha: 'Blue sea and waves'. It was used to illustrate seas and oceans on maps. The water and waves also symbolize power and resistance, key elements of Japanese culture. 

This project was made with the flipper in mind, carefully chosen specs for the best possible flipping experience. The wave pattern 'Seigaiha' has always attracted my attention as a very simple yet complex repeating pattern that is pleasing to the eyes. 

The Seigaiha Trainer features grade 5 titanium for super high durability and functionality. Carefully chosen bead blast finish for a perfect grip with dry or sweaty hands, yet still being smooth and shiny. The front faces of the handles include the beautiful wave pattern laser engraved by an extremely high end fiber laser for precision accuracy. Carefully chosen depth of jimping at the ends of the handles for comfort and grip, for those perfect ladders and choker fans. Fully milled Hardened 440c stainless steel blade for durability and performance. No water jet or laser cut blanks like most trainer blades out there. Press fit hardened zen pins for a nice bouncy feel, and eliminating the need for extra hardware and small screws that inevitably break.
